Light is an important element in the photosynthesis process, and indoor light intensity is also affecting our life quality. SenseCAP wireless S2102 sensor can help you know the exact light intensity and provide optimal light conditions.

Scan-and-Play Simplicity, Easy Configuration via Bluetooth in Just 1 min

Built-in Bluetooth avoids time-consuming configuration works to bring no code experience to individuals with less or no technical background to quickly get started with light intensity detection.

Minimal Maintenance Cost: power-conscious battery, IP66 rugged enclosure, and Bluetooth for remote data acquisition and device management

This sensor can cover a transmission range of 2km in urban scenes and 10km in line of sight scenes while keeping the transmission process low power to support years of usage. Remote monitoring can also benefit large-scale deployment, it gives you the biggest efficiency by saving time and manual labor needed to deploy and manage devices. Together with a replaceable battery that supports Max.10 years of usage and an industrial IP66 enclosure, it meets the need for LoRaWAN-based IoT Solutions in the real world.

Powerful SenseCAP Mate App: data visualization and remote device management

Compatibility with multiple networks and platforms: easily integrates with existing LoRaWAN networks

We have an article in Learn to introduce the separate network architecture when you choose different LoRaWAN network servers and platforms.

How to Select Gateway:

LoRaWAN network coverage is required when using sensors, there are two LoRaWAN network options.

Option 1: Sensors work in areas covered by Helium Network(Check on Helium Explore Map). You can check the SenseCAP M1 and SenseCAP M2.

Option 2: Sensors work in a standard LoRaWAN network, like The Things Network, Loriot, Chirpstack, etc. You can check the SenseCAP Outdoor Gateway and the SenseCAP M2 Multiplatform Gateway.

SenseCAP Performance Guarantee: robustness and stability

Tips: The battery is a standard Li-SOCl2 battery (type: ER34615) that can purchase from Amazon and other platforms.

Comparison between SenseCAP S210x and Traditional LoRaWAN Sensors

Multi-Scenario Application

  • Poultry farm and Livestock Shed

Light simulation influences the biological processes of living organisms. In poultry, light intensity and duration are two important factors that can impact poultry production. A moderate amount of suitable light intensity can benefit the growth of poultry thus increasing the yields.

  • Greenhouse

Photosynthesis influences plants' nutrition accumulation that is related to the yields of vegetables. As a necessary condition for photosynthesis, light is a key factor to influence vegetable production. Staying light intensity optimal can minimize the potential production problems caused by light intensity.

  • Hydroponics

Hydroponics is a new soilless cultivation method for plants. The light environment is one of the indispensable physical environment factors for plant growth and development. Only when light intensity is above the light compensation point can plants grow normally. User light intensity sensor to better manage the light intensity and duration to help plants grow well.

  • Building and Street Lighting

Light intensity affects controlling automatic lights in smart building solutions and smart streetlamps control systems. Using a light sensor to trigger a bulb when it is dark saves the slight hassle of turning on the lights and saves power in the day when the sun is bright enough.

* Every single device can support 7 frequency plans.

** This wireless LoRaWAN Temperature and Humidity sensor support up to 10 years of battery life, but the actual battery life varies from data upload interval, data payload, and distance between gateways. If you want to optimize the battery life, you can choose to send a smaller amount of data, send messages less frequently, and keep spreading factor as low as possible.

LoRaWAN Frequency

Note: No Frequency limitation. Sensor switched to other frequency plans at any time.

S210x Devices are manufactured to support the universal frequency plan from 863MHz ~928MHz in one SKU. That is to say, every single device can support the frequency plans below:

Frequency Plan

Sub-band from 1 to 8

Sub-band from 1 to 8

AS923_1, AS923_2, AS923_3, AS923_4

The frequency plan setting is none by default and it will not transmit RF signal until it has been set by App via Bluetooth at the first power-up. And it can be changed to other frequency plans at any time.

About SenseCAP
